Consistency Given to "Not In Battle"

Not in battle is defined as cards face up on the table that are not in battle (this includes territory, set-aside area and Land of Redemption).  It does not include hand, draw pile, discard pile, and cards face down in play. This changes the previous ruling that Lampstand of the Sanctuary stops Mayhem.

We found that there are a hand full of card in Redemption that have the phrase "not in battle" on them (Wall of Water, Royal Protection, Abishai's Spear, Angry Mob and Lampstand of the Sanctuary). The ruling that Lampstand of the Sanctuary protects a players hand from Mayhem was found to be inconsistent with other cards which used the same language.

I hope to see abilities that affect face-up cards in the future.

Lampy will protect the LoR, given that it's face up on the table.  From my perspective, it looks like Great Image can hit set aside heroes as well.

Can I play with my hand face up on the table to protect it from Mayhem?

Discard all opponents' Heroes in play that are not in the field of battle at the end of this battle.

Good thought, but no dice.

I thought Mayhem was broken before... why did you take away the only protection from it, yet still keep the double protection against FA, with Guardian and Lampy?
ANB is good. Change my mind.

Mayhem isn't broken--first turn Mayhem is broken, but Lampstand couldn't protect from that anyway.
