True Definition of Interrupt

Scenario:

I rescue with Ahimaaz and stay in battle, They block with King of Tyrus from hand.  Can I play Jordan Interrupted to interrupt KoT ability and play something?  I am unsure because the REG says that interrupts can be prevented and KoT is preventing it.  So I would rule that they cannot play next am I correct?

Scenario 2:

Same scenario as above but they block with King Rehoboam.  If I play Jordan Interrupted again along with Trumpet Blast, Do I interrupt KR's ability so that no side battle occurs?

Scenario 3:

Unrelated to the topic, With Trumpet Blast does it have to be my fortress or occupied site or can I use my opponents?

I think my playgroup has been playing interrupt incorrectly and I want to correct if we are.

1.  KoT is preventing Jordan Interrupted.  Only Cannot Be Prevented or Negated cards work with King of Tyrus in battle.

2.  No, interrupt the battle only interrupts ongoing abilities, the last enhancement is played by opponent, and abilities causing your removal.  In addition, interrupt the battle only effects the current battle.  So if you played it in a side battle, it would only effect that side battle.

3.  You can definitely use your opponents cards.  That's the fun of Trumpet Blast and Samson's Sacrifice. :D

King of Tyrus would prevent the interrupt, so you could not interrupt his ability with JI. If somehow JI was 'cannot be prevented' then you could interrupt KoT's ability and play the next enhancement, which would work. If the next enhancement doesn't somehow negate KoT's ability, or get rid of KoT, then when his ability comes back, he would negate the enhancement.

No. King Rehoboam's ability is instant, so that the whole side battle occurs before you have a chance to interrupt. Once it is over, ITB cards like JI cannot interrupt instant character abilities.

It can be any evil Fortress or occupied Site in play that is not otherwise protected from effect. Trumpet Blast is often used to rid your opponent of his EC's in battle and an Evil Fortress or occupied Site.

I think my playgroup has been playing interrupt incorrectly and I want to correct if we are.

Basically, interrupt delays an ability that is either ongoing, or has just taken effect, until the effect of the interrupt card is completed. So if a card interrupts the battle, it delays all ongoing effects (like immunity, protect abilities, etc.) until after the interrupt card completes its ability. There are many ways things can be interrupted, but they all essentially work this way.

so Say instead of Rehoboam I used Egyptian Warden, they cannot interrupt that with JI because it is an instantaneous ability, right?

No, In that case because the ability is causing you to lose the battle you have initiative to play an interupt ~
Interupt cards do the following ~
1. Interupt all ongoing abilites (Protection etc)
2. Interupt the last enhancement if it was played by your opponent.
3. Interupts any ability removing you from battle (warden, zimri etc.)

Clarified.
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

Can you interrupt a BTN evil character with a "Interrupt evil immunity and..." effect?

Can you interrupt a BTN evil character with a "Interrupt evil immunity and..." effect?

Immunity and BTN are not the same thing. An "Interrupt evil immunity and do X" card would delay an evil immune abilities until after X was done. So if X was "discard an evil character", you could discard an EC who was originally immune to you. Such a card would do nothing against a BTN character, unless the card was cannot be prevented/negated, in which case it wouldn't interrupt anything, it would just discard.

#6 - You Can't Interrupt a Prevent if Your Interrupt is Prevented
"I prevented you."  "But I interrupted you after."  "But my prevent stops your interrupt first."
