I was told by a judge in a district tourney that the definition of protect has changed from hat is listed on the REG.
What if anything has changed from the following?
Protect
Protect allows cards to be unaffected by specified special abilities. (See Cannot be).
All of the following phrases are protect abilities:
*
Protect …
*
Is protected from …
*
Is prevented from being …
*
Cannot be …
*
May not be …
*
May only be … by
*
Must be … by
*
Immune to …
*
Ignores …
Notice that each of the abilities above does not prevent a special ability. They only limit the special ability to other targets.

We've clarified some things about protect that were not clear to everyone before, but nothing has changed with the way protect works. You can find all the new rules changes and clarifications here (http://www.cactusgamedesign.com/message_boards/redemption-official-rules/rule-changesclarifications-for-2011-2012-tournament-season/).

Does that mean that immune and ignore are protect abilities? And that stone of Thebez works against immune and ignore?

Based on this (http://www.cactusgamedesign.com/message_boards/ruling-questions/negating-%27protect%27-abilities/) thread, immune is not a protect ability (it's a couple of years old, so that may have changed).
I was the judge (the scenario was TxP Jeremiah vs. Nero, I think) and ruled that Jeremiah negated Nero's immunity since that section was still in the new REG.
