Pretty sure the answer is yes based on the ruling of Invoking Terror, but just to make sure, can my opponent interrupt Zelophehad's Sin?

Quote from: REG

It's a standard losing by removal ability so I don't know why they couldn't interrupt it, lol.

Because I'm discarding myself.

If you're discarding them it doesn't matter what else you're discarding, they get a chance to interrupt. Same reason the blocker can interrupt Samson's Sacrifice.

This works exactly the same as Invoking Terror - it can be interrupted or negated when it causes a Hero to be losing by removal. In fact this is a great example of why people should not be confused by the fact that Invoking Terror can be interrupted/negated. The community was never confused about these scenarios until Invoking Terror put itself into a different location than it's predecessors.

And yet the elders are confused about it. Have y'all come any closer to a consensus on how exactly special initiative works?
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

I'm not aware of any confusion among the elders on this topic and nothing is being discussed. Which elders do you think are confused? What exactly are they confused about?

I have asked and seen asked about how special initiative works and gotten these responses:

-When you are being removed and losing the battle, Special Initiative takes place during the state of the battle when you were being removed (this answer allows for using Foreign Sword to negate Unholy Writ).

-Special initiative happens when you are being removed from battle, but you can only target cards that are now targetable unless they are Enhancements from battle (so you can negate Achan's Sin, but not Unholy Writ because nothing targets Discarded artifacts and only "negate last" on Herod's Treachery).

-Special initiative happens when you are being removed from battle, but you can only target cards that are now targetable unless they are Enhancements (so you can negate Achan's Sin and Herod's Treachery with any regular negate, but not Unholy Writ).

They are somewhat nuanced, but can make a very big difference.
