Was an official ruling ever given regarding if there is an "initiative check" after a CBN ability or enhancement that is removing a character from battle?

Specifically, something like Dungeon of Malchiah played on King Zedekiah against my lone hero in battle.  Does my hero have "initiative" long enough for me to place him into "The Name of the Lord" instead?

How does Dust and Ashes effect Job if a CBN is used on him? Does "instead" interrupt CBN?

Instead doesn't interrupt. It does more of change a destination or effect.

I accept that, but it sounds like CBN isn't as "unchangeable" or "un-effectable" as it used to be.
