The cannot be negated ability on cards still has to be activated, right?
So for example, if I play a territory class enhancement on Michael during prep phase, then theoretically it could be negated during prep phase, right?
I don't think it is possible yet and I can't think of any other current situations but I would still like to know.

Judas' SA is CBN, and it has to be activated in battle first, so I would say yes.

YMT is correct. Character abilities only activate in battle. Playing a territory class enhancement on a character like Michael during the prep/discard phase does not make it CBN.

I just want to clarify, you CAN negate the special ability on a CBN character with a TC enhancement such as DS as long as it's done before the CBN character enters battle? So Michael's CBN ability has no effect outside of battle and DS would make him "vanilla?" So to speak?
That seems to be the question being asked, and I don't think that it works as I have written above, but that's the way this thread seems to have been answered.

This is the exact question people are asking about DS and Philip. Also, the old micheal says:
Type: Hero Char. • Brigade: Silver • Ability: 12 / 8 • Class: None • Special Ability: Michael and Enhancements played with him cannot be interrupted, prevented, negated or redirected. • Play As: Michael and Enhancements played with him cannot be negated. •
Kings and AW Micheal specifically say enhancements played with Micheal. Would this make any difference when DS is activated on Micheal?
-
Gabe said it does not make the enhancement placed on him cbn not that it would negate Michael's cbn status.

I agree with Hobbit13. There seems to be two different ideas being presented.
1. An enhancement played on Michael outside of battle can still be negated.
2. An enhancement played on any version of Michael cannot be negated no matter what you do before or during battle.

Ok, good. I was getting freaked out thinking that somehow things had radically changed. I apologize for misreading the situation. *Mutters something about vague vocabulary and implied meanings...*
