Special Initiative and cards like Great Faith

Hi again,

here already my next question:

When last hero is about to be taken out of battle so that special initiative kicks in is there also the possibility to play things like Great Faith to get a helpful enhancement out of deck?

Great Faith:
Exchange this enhancement with another good enhancement in your draw pile (You may place in hand or battle). Shuffle draw pile after exchange.

According to my understanding of REG this would not be possible since REG says:
The player with their character(s) being removed has the opportunity to play an enhancement that will interrupt or negate both the effect causing the removal (or that triggered the corresponding game rule) and the ability containing that effect.

Since Great Faith does not interrupt nor negate it would not be able to be used in these cases, right? Even though Great Faith might bring up exactly such kind of enhancement immediatelly into battle triggering exactly such kind of interrupt or negate?

Thank you for your response.

Bye

You are correct that you cannot play Great Faith during SI. The card you play must interrupt or negate the card causing SI on its own, not just result in a chain of events that eventually interrupt or negate.

^Correct.

Have you checked the REG?
Have you looked it up in ORCID?
