Goliath's Spear (Ki) reads:

"Worth 8/10 if used by a giant. Goliath may retain as a weapon until discarded."

Goliath's Spear is marked as a regular weapons-class enhancement. Can it not be placed on any warrior class evil character, and then retained like any other weapon-class enhancement? Why is this one specifically written so that is just for Goliath (or is it)? Why could we not retain this weapon on all warrior class EC's (e.g. Saph, or the 12-Fingered Giant?)

Especially -- the 12-fingered giant -- because that is another name for Goliath, is it not? It should certainly work on him, right?

The TFG and Goliath may have been referring to the same person, but we don't know for certain so for purposes of Redemption they are treated as different characters.

Can Goliath's Spear (Kings) be placed (and RETAINED) on any warrior class (black) evil character?

(Or, can it only be RETAINED on Goliath)?

It is a weapon class black enhancement so yes it can be held by any warrior class black EC.
