Cascading Negates?

Tribal Elder bands to Israelite Archer band to Ira (kings).

Ira negates all non-warrior and non-weapon special abilities (tribal elder). However, he doesn't negate Ira's special ability because it's warrior class.

Does the negation of Tribal Elder's ability cascade to kick Ira out of battle as well or does only Israelite Archer leave and Ira stays?

Have you checked the REG?
Have you looked it up in ORCID?

Israelite Archer would leave and Ira would stay.

But if Tribal Elder is negated, then its treated like Israelite Archer wasn't ever in battle. Which means that Ira can't be in battle.

I believe they would both leave (because IA never entered battle) and then the battle would continue to be FBN-except-WC.

I believe this is correct as well. Making it fight by the numbers negates everything (and cascades back) EXCEPT the fact that it is still fight by the numbers. So basically, it doesn't matter that Ira was "never really there"; once he's in, it sticks. Isrealite Archer would not be able to use his ability in this case, and Tribal Elder is the only hero that stays in, FBN except Warrior Class.

However, if IA said Cannot be Negated, then it would be Tribal Elder and Ira, since IA's ability can't be negated directly or indirectly. It's like if you block with Messenger of Satan to Ananias to Sapphira, you end up with Messenger and Sapphira in battle. Just to clarify.

I think you know how I've ruled that in the NW.  Ever since Kings, Armorbearer to WC dude # 1 to Ira/Benny/TSA resulted in only WC dude #1 being sent back to territory.

However, there was a recent thread where it was revealed that all go back except for Armorbearer.

I brought this up years ago but I believe negates won't cascade for much longer, the bigger issue is Gomer (Crimson)/Ananias/Sapphira, because technically cannot-be-negated cards stick.

Wandering spirit / Spirit of temptation / Gomer / KoT I'm more worried about

Already discussed, why are you worried about perfectly legal combos that aren't that great any way?

Cascading negates is not an issue of power-level, it just doesn't really make sense.

I agree, what could be done to fix that?

I was saying the combo I mentioned is potentially better than his, I'm not too worried about it either way

But if cannot be negated cards stick, you can add something like Fallen Angel to that band.

With the REG update coming, I am hoping negates don't cascade and CBN cards don't sick.

Hey,

But if cannot be negated cards stick, you can add something like Fallen Angel to that band.

Read Fallen Angel again.  It's not as awesome as you think.

Cascading negates and Cannot be Negated cards sticking will not be changed in the REG update.

Okay, Tribal Elder + Archer + Ira is different than Lot's Wife + Ananias + Sapphira because Ananias' ability sticks. However, since Archer can be negated he doesn't stick. Right?
