Are Heroes in Potter's Field "Heroes that are set aside?"
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

Potter's Field (Ki) - "Set this site aside. Holder's Heroes to be discarded are instead placed in this Site. Treat them as discarded Heroes. Errata/Play As: Set this fortress aside. Holder's Heroes to be discarded are placed here instead. / Holds any number of discarded Heroes."

Any heroes in Potter's Field are set aside.  The only way cards get to set-aside is via a set-aside ability, even if it isn't a "traditional" one like Pentecost.  So heroes in Potter's Field, set aside via Samaritan Water Jar, etc. all get shuffled by "Today".  (Which I'm blindly guessing is the reason you asked)

If "captured heroes" cannot be targeted as "heroes" then I wonder whether "discarded heroes" can be targeted as heroes. ..  :-\

Except if you read the Play As, that portion of the ability is completely gone.

Play-as on the Wiki is not official unless it is published as part of official rulings (like on the errata list). This is a card which has wording we should look to clarify, but I don't believe that play-as is official.

Love the Wiki...but shouldn't we all get on the same page. This is not the first time (far from it) that this has happened. IMO it is very confusing.

Good ol' Kings cards, making things confusing by inventing phrases like "discarded heroes"...

If discarded heroes (i.e., heroes in your discard pile) are different than heroes, then pretty much every card that targets heroes in discard (Chariot of Fire, healing cards, etc.) doesn't work.

Potter's Field is supposed to be an "Instead" ability that holds heroes that would have been discarded.  The old special ability makers apparently had paranoia about referring to heroes that would have been discarded, and were placed in Potter's Field instead, as just "heroes" and invented the phrase "discarded heroes" to alleviate the paranoia.

The wiki was using some older efforts to reword cards so they made more sense next to newer ones, but unfortunately some of those change abilities and can't be used.  There has been a lot of work done by a few hardworkers to look at wording overall, and I am sure that the completion of such a project will help clarify this card, too.
