Perhaps because of the way the entry for SI was written, this is now the case. However, I know that was not the original intent. I distinctly recall Bryon saying that SI was not intended to give a player infinite initiative.

This question has come up so many times I can argue either side's best points in my sleep. I favor the status quo, as the closer the definition of SI gets to "when all your character are removed from battle by an opponent, you may play or activate a card that could negate the ability causing the removal" the better.
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!
