Title: Capture
Post by: Carl deuty on February 16, 2011, 05:50:17 PM
This is from the reg:
A capture special ability moves a card to the Land of Bondage.  This effect happens instantly, before your opponent has an opportunity to respond.  Once a character is captured it is a “captured character.”

Does this mean that capture abilities are CBN?

Not unless stated specifically on the card or character. Capture is an instant ability, but it still subject to being interrupted/negated. Once again the reg's wording is a little spotty.

PS: Don't make me bust out he WS deck tonight.

adotson is correct. If your opponent plays a capture card, you have the initiative to interrupt and/or negate it. Otherwise, you lose your character.

On a side note...when a captured character is rescued:

It adds to your redeemed souls total?
It goes to your land of redemption? (meaning you can't continue to use it?)

These questions posted with the understanding that some cards tell you specifically to return to territory, etc.

By default, it goes to your LoR as a Redeemed Soul.  You can get it back with Falling Away (if there's no Guardian) and something that returns captured heroes.
