Captain errata

Now that the new Moses and new Abraham negate just about everything while in battle, is there any reason that Captain of the Host needs an errata?  If his ability was played as written, he would also negate LS (powerful but not broken, and frankly with the CoW LS I think we need more cards that negate LS), sites (definitely not broken), fortresses (definitely not broken), and artifacts (definitely not broken).  The combination of all these is, in my opinion, not broken.  I see no reason not to let Captain play as he is written.

Thoughts/opinions?

In my opinion I like the way he is played and the way the new border less one is worded! Really makes me want to get one!!

Originally Captain of the Host was errata'd for power level reasons, to make him work as intended.

FBTN just got some big boosts with Moses, Joshua and Coliseum to name a few. From what I've seen of the meta so far I do not think it would be healthy to give FBTN yet another increase in power by making CotH negate more things than Moses.

The thing is, Moses' best characteristic (by far) is that he makes battles FBTN, except for a subset of good battlewinners (Faith of Moses' Parents, Faith of Samuel, etc.).  Captain has no CBP battlewinners to use.  Moses' second strongest ability is that he acts like a "mini CWD" while in territory.  Captain only works in battle.

I just don't think Captain is stronger than Moses, even if his errata goes away.

Removing the errata on Captain would make him more powerful. Moses does not negate sites, artifacts, forts, etc.

Captain would negate Coliseum and Wool Fleece, which opens a few more ways to stop him.

I still don't think removing the errata at this point is the right call, because that would almost certainly have unforeseen consequences.

Those 3 card types aren't going to do much of anything to Captain.  There are few that could - Philly Outpost and Go Into Captivity off the top of my head...  Not much else.

"Unforeseen consequences" carries zero wight as a reason not to do something. Every decision ever has unforeseen consequences. That said, I think all the old errata needs to be evaluated in totem now that we care more about what a card says than what it was intended to do. Doing it piecemeal is not the way to do it.
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

That project (evaluating all errata and play-as) is already underway.
Fortress Alstad
Have you checked the REG?
Have you looked it up in ORCID?
