Can I play a card (Egyptians)?

If I have any non-archer Egyptian in battle and am able to band in a warrior-class evil character (non-Egyptian) from my territory who has Egyptian Horses sitting on it, do I get to play a card?

Egyptian Horses (RA)
Type: Evil Enh. • Brigade: Gold • Ability: 2 / 2 • Class: Weapon • Special Ability: Interrupt the battle and draw two cards. If used by an Egyptian (except an archer), you may play an evil Enhancement. • Identifiers: OT, Depicts a Weapon • Verse: Exodus 14:9 • Availability: Rock of Ages booster packs (None)

Yes. You can even band in an Egyptian Archer with Horses on him with, for example, Egyptian Wise Men, and be able to draw and play. Weapons are held by Warriors, but they can be used by anyone in battle that could use the weapon as an enhancement.

Really? I'm trying to follow the logic of a weapon class enhancement held by EA being used by another. EA jumps off his horse allows the Wise Man to saddle up and then the horses run back to the EA at end of battle. Must be that new technology. So could EA pass his horses to another gold W/C EC during battle and leave that shetland with him since that EC is going to use them?  Hee Haw! Did someone from Oklahoma get to be an elder?  ;)

Last I heard, weapon-class enhancements can switch which warrior-class character they are held by at the end of each battle if multiples are in battle, but I guess since I don't remember who said that, clarification would be good there, too. :)

That is correct. If you band your Egyptian Archer with Horses to your Huge Egyptian with Egyptian Spear, you can switch the weapons held by the characters after the battle if you so choose.

Actually, it seems the other Prof wins this one:

From the REG:

Quote
Weapons may not be exchanged between characters and may only be moved to another character in battle if the holder of the weapon is defeated and another warrior-class character is in battle and able to hold the weapon.

I guess I can't argue with the rules, no matter how much I want it to be true. However, I'm still fairly certain that WC enhancements can still be considered used by another character of matching brigade in battle aside from the holder of the weapon.

Go for the knock out Profunderwood.

I'm fairly certain "fairly certain" doesn't get it in this army. Give me 10!

No way!  First of all, it's just as likely that the next time, I'll be the one on the confused side of the rules.  And second of all, I'm hoping to stay with the "other Prof" during Nats, and I know better than to kick a man while he's down when doughnuts are on the line :)

I would have to disagree here. If a WC character is bringing a weapon into battle, he's the one using it. I can't band EA to P'sM, play Horses on Magicians, then have EA retain it after battle.
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!
