Nope.

Yes, because I think you ment to say, ' Can you use burial after they one the Rescue attempt but before I give them the lost soul'. If not then no you already gave them the soul, and LoR is not in play.

ok so i can as long as i do it before i hand it to them?

Right, but if they play Son of God and instantly rescue a lost soul you cannot do anything about it.

No. The soul has been won. You can't discard it.
-
You need to play burial before the end of battle for it to be useful in that way. :)
-
Yeah, bury it before handing it to them. After you hand it to them, all you can do is Falling Away it.

As far as I know, if the battle was won by special ability (AotL, AocP, EtC), there is a period where a dominant could be played, i.e. burial. However, if a battle was won by the numbers, one does not have said opportunity.

why wouldn't they have the opportunity if won by the numbers?

You're forfeiting the battle if you die BTN. You can, however, play Burial and then die BTN.

If you're winning BTN, what are you worried about?
