Lost soul negate (negates all lost souls in play) is in my opponents land of bondage, Anti-burial is i his land of redemption, he attempts to bury his 3-liner and I tell him that he cannot because he has anti-burial in his land of redemption. He says he can because his lost soul is negating the anti-burial. I tell him that he can't because anti-burial activated in land of redemption were the other lost soul cannot negate the anti-burial.
Who is right? why is he right? who's logic was was better?

If the FBTN Lost Soul is out when Anti-Burial is rescued, then Anti-Burial's ability is negated. If it's not, then it's not. This is for two reasons: Firstly, FBTN says "Lost Souls," and souls in the Land of Redemption are "Redeemed Souls". Second, abilities default to play, so the FBTN Lost Soul couldn't target the Land of Redemption even if the wording was different.

To go further into the explanation, Anti-burial's SA is a trigger that sets while it's still a Lost Soul, not an ongoing ability that takes place while it's a redeemed soul. If it is Negate and the point of rescue, the trigger never activates and it never protects from Burial.

Lost Soul abilities activate once the Negator leaves play.

Do Lost Souls check for reactivation? If they're prevented, I think they don't reactivate, do they?

My understanding is that they reactivate the phase after FBTN leaves.

Stuff with triggers that have already passed (like the "when you put this in a site") don't suddenly activate after the FBTN leaves, but there's nothing stopping you from activating Site Doubler and putting her in a site with another soul after FBTN leaves. AFAIK.

which is where the triggers come in. Anti-burial triggers when it goes to LOR. Site doubler when you choose. Hopper when its drawn. they can't retrigger.

This is a pretty radical change from how I've always seen everyone play it. I've always understood Lost Souls with ongoing abilities to be activating every phase.

Lost souls reactivate every phase, pol is correct. People are right in saying hopper doesn't go to your opponent's LoB after FBTN leaves play, but that is only because it wasn't drawn in the phase after FBTN leaves.

What if anti-burial is in play before The negator and my opponent rescues anti-burial. does anti-burial still activate in opponents LoR since it set when it was not being negated?

If the Antiburial was rescued while the negator was in play then it doesn't work, if it it wasn't then antiburial works.

WOW! That was simple. how does this work, I want to know so I can solve similar ruling problems.
