Hi there,

today we had a match where we could not agree upon whether Thirty Pieces of Silver does have official errata or not.
According to Wiki (http://redemption.wikia.com/wiki/Thirty_Pieces_of_Silver_%28Ap%29) it has - but we could not find it in this subforum.

So is the errata in Wiki the official one? If not where can be all really official errata be read from?

If errata of Thirty Pieces in Wiki is correct then my question is: As long as Thirty pieces of Silver is activated is discarding a hero after a battle is optional (since errata says: "May be used once per battle and twice per game."? If it is not optional when activated how is this "May be used" to be understood?

Thank you in advance!

Bye

The wiki is not "official" although it is accurate most of the time. I will see if I can find an errata...

It is my understanding (and I may be wrong on this) but the way a lot of cards are written (ie. may be used twice during battle, or the site that says return this card from battle) makes it sound like when the Hero or Evil Character enters battle, the card holder chooses to bring those cards into battle with them. That means when they enter, those cards are placed in the field of battle next to the controller. This would make a new twist to the game as per the fact that if a card shuffles all cards in battle, those cards would go also. When the Lost Souls card is shuffled after a rescue, it resets. This means Thirty Pieces Of Silver or Jephthah (J) could also reset. I really think this should be explored more fervently.
Two wrongs don't make a right but three rights make a left. Either way, God will get you there.

Anything "per game" is tracked for the whole game across all copies. That means it does not matter whether a card is reset, the 'count' is tracked regardless. Anything not indicating "per game" does reset and is not counted across all copies.

All he is asking is if it's mandatory or optional use. I remember reading somewhere on here it was ruled mandatory. However, I can see where the "may" could cause someone to think it could be either

Sorry, just answered the other question in the post above mine for some reason...

No errata I can see. Mandatory to my knowledge.

As far as I know, 30 Pieces has always been mandatory for each battle. Best plan is to activate it and attack with Cornelius or Temple Priests.  8)

Have you checked the REG?
Have you looked it up in ORCID?

This also puzzles me. And to come back to my initial questions: Where to get official errata from? Does it now have official errata or not? And what about the "May"?

The "may" refers to the activation. It does not have official errata at this time.

Activation of the artifact (which is per turn always a may IMHO) or activation of its ability while artifact is permanently activated for example?
