Apologies to Gabe, I did not mean to suggest you do anything less than your best. I'm sure I speak for most of the members here when I say how much we appreciate all the rulings and answers you do give and that I totally understand real life obligations. Keep up the good work. ^_^

As for the ruling, I guess that makes sense YMT. I'm still a little confused about why one condition can be evaluated pre-play and the other can't, but if I really want an answer I will make a new thread as per Gabe's request.

Sorry if I derailed the thread CJSports. Apparently I like to argue things (despite the fact that I really don't like debates, haha). >_<

The difference is that a normal interrupt is such at face value. In your hand, it is an interrupt, and can therefore be played with special initiative. In your hand, Jashar is a copy, not an interrupt, therefore it cannot be played.
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

I know what the difference is between, say, Reach and Jashar. That's not what I'm confused about.

What are you confused about?
Then how exactly do conditional CBP/CBN actually make the abilities work if a negate all is active before they're played? If cards are at face value, they can't be being "used" by anything at the time so how do they enter play and be able to activate? It has the potential to be CBN/CBP if used by a specific character, but you don't know who it's being used by until it's in play, which is after it is being negated.

Reading comprehension, ftw. ;)

That is a good question, but I don't think it's particularly tricky to answer. You have to choose a character to play the Enhancement on before the enhancement has actually been played. Is this anywhere in the rules? No. But I see no other way to explain Brigades. You can't just play an Enhancement and then see if it's allowed to be played, so clearly there is a selection of who is going to be playing it before it is played, and the check for conditions happens at that time (correct Brigade? not restricted from playing that Enhancement? etc.) Jashar's copy is not condition-dependent, it's merely an SA that activates when played then transforms it into something else.
