"Interrupt the battle..."

If an opponent plays and enhancement, will Ehud's Dagger interrupt the completion of that enhancement, discard it, and prevent it from competing?  Is that how that works?

Thanks...

The REG will help you here.

Interrupt the Battle interrupts:
1. all active ongoing abilities
2. abilities that are defeating one of the characters you control in battle
3. the last card played in current battle if it was played by your opponent

When something is interrupted, its effect is suspended.  It tries to reactivate when the interrupt ends.  To reactivate:
1. the card on which the ability exists must still be in battle
2. if the ability is on an enhancement there must still be a character in battle on which it can activate
3. the ability was not prevented while it was interrupted
4. the targets of the ability are still legal targets

Your scenario fails condition 1, so the effect does not reactivate.
