If i use Samson's Sacrifice in battle to discard everything in battle, do I still get a Soul?

No.  Losing a battle by Mutual Destruction BY THE NUMBERS results in a soul.  Losing by a special ability does not (which is why similar evil cards do not just give you a soul).
