Battle Resolution

I have some confusion what exactly occurs in battle resolution and much more importantly, what can you play/order of effects. The reg has an entry but it left me with more questions then answers (who would of guessed >.<).

"An end the battle ability ends the battle part of the battle phase and begins battle resolution." - REG

If an end the battle card is played when a hero is winning the battle, is there a oppurtunity to play a dominant such as burial?
Can dominants even be played during battle resolution?
I was under the impression when in Battle resolution, the battle is already over...
We must be the change we want to see.

All the answers you seek were in the REG/Online Rulebook. Apparently something went wrong when some of the new documents were loaded. The  Diagram of a Turn > Overview which contained the steps of battle resolution lost some information. I'll let you in a little secret though, the old REG document is still online at http://www.redemptionreg.com/REG_old/ and the uncorrupt document is still available there.

You can find the answers your looking for here.

Quote from: REG
d.  Resolve the rescue attempt or battle challenge (battle resolution). Note that Dominant cards cannot be played here.
1)  End of battle (no more enhancements can be played)
2)  End of battle or final battle outcome abilities trigger
3)  Discard characters in battle that are defeated
4)  Transfer Lost Soul from Land of Bondage to Land of Redemption
5)  Return characters to territory; discard enhancements in the Field of Battle
6)  Discard characters in territory below */0
7)  Add experience Credit
8 )  Ongoing abilities still active end, unless another endpoint is specified
Have you visited the Land of Redemption today?

Thanks gabe.

I do have a follow up question, when exactly do you know when battle resolution happens.
For example:

an enhancement discarding the only ec in battle. Ec get init, do they have to pass init to play burial or before they pass?

If they pass init, is it immediatly battle resolution where a lost soul must be given over if available and the hero is winning?

I still have some confusion when battle resolution officially starts.
We must be the change we want to see.

If a character is losing/loses the battle by removal (capture, discard, withdraw, etc.), you still have a chance to activate other abilities (such as Dominants, that curse that adds an evil character to battle, etc.) before proceeding to battle resolution.

If a character is losing by the numbers (my strength beats your toughness, etc.), you must play all Dominats or other abilities before accepting your character's defeat because as soon as you admit defeat and place your character into the discard pile the battle immediately proceeds to resolution (during which dominants cannot be played).

Hopefully that makes sense. ^_^

There are two ways to enter battle resolution. Either an End the Battle card is played or All players in the battle agree the battle is over.

What about if a character is being removed by a dominant? Such as:

I go on rescue with a hero. I get blocked by one evil character. I discard him with AotL.

Does that count as End of Battle?
