Battle resolution timing question

I block my opponent's Clay hero with a small Crimson EC.  My initiative, I play Great Image.  Peter is in my opponent's territory.  My EC dies.  I give my opponent the Fool LS, discarding the Clay hero in battle.

Can Peter heal the Clay hero that was in battle?  Or is he discarded first because of Great Image?

Great Image - All opponents' Heroes in play that are not in the Field of Battle at end of this battle must be discarded.

Lost Soul (Fool) - When this Lost Soul is rescued, if you played an evil Enhancement during that battle, discard all rescuing Heroes.
If creation sings Your praises so will I
If You gave Your life to love them so will I

Really good question.  Peter cannot trigger during Battle Resolution, as nothing can be played nor activated during that time, and he also cannot trigger while another effect is resolving.  Therefore:

1. Your EC is discarded.
2. Fool is rescued.
3. Immediately, Fool is triggered as a result of being rescued.  Peter still cannot be activated.
4. Heroes in battle are discarded.
5. Great Image activates, as the battle has ended.  This is an ongoing trigger that activates at this stage, and Peter still cannot be activated (cannot insert during Great Image).
6. Peter is discarded.

Now Peter is out of play, he cannot be triggered for the heal.
