Battle phase

I have a question concerning the battle phase. Is it possible to make a rescue attempt and a battle challenge in the same turn? This would be extremely helpful for me because i thought of an idea. If doing both on the same turn is possible you could make a rescue attempt (simply because you have to to win the game) and then, provided there was only one lost soul to rescue and you did so, you could make a battle challenge with hur (who can shuffle all but one of your opponent's cards into his draw pile and draw new ones) simply to cause constant confusion for your opponent. In the unfortunate event that hur gets discarded, because he is only 4\4, you could use midwives to revive him! I am aware that there are ways for your opponent to stop this but ,hey, I haven't found an invincible combo yet. Thank you for your advice.

You are limited to one battle (regardless of type) per turn unless a card ability grants you an additional one (such as Grapes of Wrath, the Long Day, or Lazarus).

Also, you are not allowed to start a new rescue attempt after one has been successful until all of your opponents have had the chance to do so.

Thank you. I knew there was a stipulation something like that, I just didn't remember the verbiage. :P

You can thank Andrew Wester (Ring Wraith) and Nats 2010 for that one.

Yes.  In fact, you may have a failed rescue attempt, a battle challenge, and successful rescue attempt all during the same battle phase.

Ok, even if using hur uses up your battle for that turn it remains a good combo. It is just limited. Thank you for your help!
