Banding timing question

The question is if I use a card like Faith of Samuel to band in Abraham and Issac, and their is no other angel in play before Faith of Samuel is played, will I be able to use Abraham's ability to search for and band to Angel at Shur (Gen 16 ref) and then have Issac's ability work or does Issac's ability just not work since he was banded in at the Same time as Abraham?

Abraham's ability
Negate opponent's netral cards. Search deck for a genesis 12-24 hero. May band to a Genesis 12-24 hero. Cannot be negated.

Issac's ability
If an Angel is in play, you may topdeck an evil card or protect issac from discard and capture abilities. may band to rebekah.

When you band in multiple characters you get to choose the order in which they activate so you could choose to resolve Abraham's ability first (bringing in Angel at Shur and resolving his ability) and then resolve Isaac's ability.

In short, yes that works.

Doesn't Isaac's ability have to fire before Abe's, since Abe's adds a character to battle?

I thought that only applied when it was multiple abilities activating on the same character. i.e. Assyrian Archer does his discard and uses his 2K Horses before getting to use his band ability.

I think jmhartz is correct. If multiple characters enter battle together (like via the same band ability) there is an order of operations for how to resolve their abilities.

Quote from: REG > Special Abilities
When one or more characters are played and have more than one special ability (including gained abilities, cards placed or held), perform the abilities in this order:

So I guess if there is an order is it based on resolving all the characters abilities in a certain order or resolving characters fully based on what abilities they possess?

EDIT. I looked at the reg again and found that you resolve abilities on Characters as written on the card except abilities that add characters to battle. The only issue I have from there is am I choosing in what order to resolve those characters? And if so if a characters ability is cbn/cbi like Abe does that pose a problem to this since it seems like abe's band is interrupted/suspended by game rule? Or is that just the status quo due to the Revolt thing? Just seeking a little clarity as to the why as well? Sorry if I'm being difficult.

Special Conditions
● A unique character can only enter the field of battle once per turn. A unique character in a battle is protected
from entering another battle via a band ability while it remains in battle. A unique character in a battle that
leaves the battle is protected from entering any battle via a band ability until the end of the turn.
● When a banding ability adds multiple cards into battle, add them in any order and activate them one at a time
in the order the cards were added. Exception: Abilities that add other characters to battle activate after all
other abilities on cards banded into battle.

Based on this I believe you could use Abe's search, (but not band), then you would trigger Isaac, then you would complete Abe's band ability.

You're correct about the order of resolving those, Justin. Since Abe's search put the card in the default location (hand) the angel won't be in play for the qualifying portion of Isaac's ability.
