New ignore rules

Ok, so I want to make sure I understand the new ignore rules.

3. Cannot Be Ignored is now defined as a protect ability, specifically meaning "protected from ignore abilities," as per the normal definition of a protect.
This means that gaining "cannot be ignored" (now protection) after an ignore has already targeted does not undo the ignore, and the character is still ignored.
This also means that Golgotha cannot be used to grant protection after-the-fact if the ignore happened as part of the Hero entering battle (since that is the defined start of the Battle Phase); it can still protect from further ignores proactively, just not retroactively.

So based on this Golgotha cannot stop Miriam's ignoring of The Egyptian Rebel because she is already in battle and since you can't "load" Golgotha until after she activates, it is too late?

Also, a clarification in the Default Conditions now states that characters can only ignore other characters while in the Field of Battle.  This is to clarify how The Garden Tomb works with the updated part 3, to indicate that the listed characters only ignore other characters while in battle, not while in territory.

So does this mean only characters ignore other characters in territory?  So because a fortress is doing the ignoring they can block, but are ignored the second they get in battle if there isn't another character of the same color?

Correct.  You cannot protect from something that already happened, because protect only limits available targets.

So does this mean only characters ignore other characters in territory?  So because a fortress is doing the ignoring they can block, but are ignored the second they get in battle if there isn't another character of the same color?

I'm a little confused by your question, but I think I get it and will try to respond.  The character is the one who ignores, per the wording of TGT ("these characters ignore..." is basically the wording).  When one of those characters is in battle, they begin to ignore.  It is not that they only ignore targets in the Field of Battle, but only when the ignoring character is in the Field of Battle that they can actually ignore something.

So if there is a target for the ignore, and Peter is in battle with a functional TGT, the targeted characters still cannot enter battle.  However, while he is in territory, he's not ignoring those characters; he must be in the Field of Battle to ignore other characters.

Ok so Golgatha really only works if you load it before (or right after) block before they can play an ignore enhancement can be played?

And, I think I read it wrong.  This is in reference to the ruling that Garden Tomb characters ignored affect outside of battle.  So it is still a "pre-block" ignore.

Yes, it's a pre-block ignore, not a pre-battle ignore.
Just one more thing...
