Title: Banding Question
Post by: SignoftheStar on November 07, 2011, 10:55:08 AM
Let us say that a rescue attempt involving banded Heroes is losing by numbers. Will all the banded Heroes get discarded, or is it only the Hero that began the rescue attempt?

And also, do all Characters get Experience Credit, or just the one that started the rescue attempt/block?

I've never been sure, but the way I play, I should probably make sure.
Please and thank you.

1. All the heroes that are banded are discarded
2. I think all heroes would get Experience Credit. Not 100% sure though.

Nuts and shoes. Well, I guess with enough Characters banded in, that will happen less and less.

Thanks very much as always, Redwing!

All involved will get Experience Credit, but only in T2.

In T2 every won battle gives the winner's EC or Hero 1/1 cumulative.

Not entirely accurate.

Experience credit is given to Heroes if and only if they were involved in and survived a successful rescue in T2.
Experience credit is given to EC's anytime they win a battle by numbers, removal or mutual removal by SA, or stalemate.

Each time a character gains experience credit, they gain 1/1 to their printed abilities. Thus, if King of Tyrus defeats a Hero, he becomes 11/13, etc.

How does an EC gain credit in a mutual removal scenario?

Not sure, but I think if a card like Neb's Pride is played, the set-aside EC's get exp. credit.

Professoralstad, are you saying an EC gets experience credit for a BC? My understanding is that experience credit is only gained by either side if the battle is a rescue attempt at some point.

I was told by the T2 Magnates that I knew before my foray into the dark side (i.e. Justin and Nathan) that BC's can give EC's XPC.

I'm pretty sure you are right.  I know for a fact that blocking a RA that becomes a BC gives you ExC, and I am pretty sure that pure BCs give ExC, too.

Thanks for clarifying that guys. I think I've always played that wrong.  ::)
