when using an enhancement that allows you to band in more than one hero do you have to choose all the heros you want to band in before each of those heros abilities activates or can you choose one at a time and let each ability activate as each hero is brought in?

ok well here is the situation as to why i was asking. my opponent rescues with a teal hero(doen't matter who) he plays Jehoiada's Strength to band in my agur can he place an anchancement with agur on another teal hero in his territory can he then still bring them in still with Jehoiada's Strength?

Type: Hero Enh. • Brigade: Teal • Ability: 5 / 2 • Class: None • Special Ability: Interrupt the battle and band any number of O.T. human Heroes into battle. All Heroes are immune to brown brigade. • Identifiers: None • Verse: II Chronicles 23:1 • Availability: Priests booster packs (Common)

Agur
Type: Hero Char. • Brigade: Yellow • Ability: 8 / 9 • Class: None • Special Ability: You may place an O.T. This is commonly misunderstood, even by long time Redemption veterans. Here's what the REG has to say:

The banding player chooses the order in which the special abilities activate, provided the rule for any “choose opponent” special abilities are activated last (see Choose Blocker or Rescuer). The special ability of each character is completed sequentially in the activation order.

The trick you'd like to perform with Agur would only work if you use Jehoiada's Strength to band Agur and another Hero with a banding ability. At that time you could choose to use Agur's place ability first and then use the second banding Hero to bring in the character the enhancement was placed on.

I thought the only thing in the game that happened simultaneously was SOG and NJ being played at the same time.

thats what i was thinking. i thought everyone banded in at the same time then you choose which abilities activate in which order(i should say which caracters you choose to use first)

Minor bump to ask one question.

What happens if a battle was to end and/or characters were to die before their abilities got a chance to activate? According to the REG quote provided by gabe, all the characters are IN BATTLE, but their abilities activate one at a time. So, if say for example, I used second seal, and my opponent was using philistines. If I banded in caleb before their giant's SA could activate, could I remove him from the game, and stop his SA from ever triggering?

Only if his SA is dependent on him being in battle (or says something like "while blocking"). Removing him from battle doesn't preclude his ability from activating (see Spy + Warrior's Spear) since he was in battle at one point.

Lemme ask another question thats closer to what I intend, but still doesn't reveal my true intentions:

I set someone aside with Ordained as a Disciple, then use second seal to band everyone into battle. My opponent has Red Dragon. Could I use OaaD to put red dragon under the deck BEFORE his immunity kicks in?

Yep. Then his immunity kicks in, but having an immune character on the bottom of your deck doesn't help you (he couldn't be hurt by a card that discards an evil card from deck though if it was used by a human--at least I think that's how it would work).

In conclusion, I fully hope and expect that I will never see this situation come up.
