When you present a banding hero to do a rescue does you opponent put a EC in battle to block before your other heros join battle?

Abilities on heroes complete before the evil character blocks (unless they say when evil character blocks or something similar) so if a hero has a band ability, that happens before blocking.

So all the heros that wish to band enter battle at the same time?

Not in the case of individual banding Heroes. The Heroes enter one at a time because their abilities complete one at a time. Here's an example;

You begin a battle with Mahari (wa) who bands to a blue Hero. You choose Claudia (wo).
Claudia enters battle and allows you to band to a NT Male Hero. You choose Simeon (wa).
Simeon enters battle and allows you to band to a prophet. You choose Jacob.
Jacob enters battle and allows you to band to an angel. You choose Captain of the Host.
Captain of the Host enters battle and negates all abilities except banding.

Now you have 5 Heroes in battle and they entered one at a time, each completing it's ability. However, the way that often plays out is a person just shoves those 5 Heroes into battle and declares a rescue attempt.
Have you visited the Land of Redemption today?

Do est the opponent get a chance to respond to each ability with a dominant?

When is the blocker presented?

No, abilities must complete before anything (even a Dominant) can be played, even if it's a cascade chain of banding.

The blocker can be presented once all the Hero special abilities have completed.

If the first hero in the chain is removed, does that remove the banded characters from battle (because they all entered based on the first Hero's banding ability)?

As far as I know...No.

Only the hero removed will leave. The others that were banded into battle stay.

If the character is simply removed from battle, no the banded characters would stay. If you negated the initial hero, though, then all non-CBN banding afterwards would indirectly be negated and the banded characters would return to their previous location (if they were banded from hand, for example, they would return to hand).
