Does negating a character that banded in a another character negate and reverse the effect of the banded character?

Unless that character is CBN, yes. Negating a band causes a cascade of negates.

Now this I'm a bit fuzzy on, so take what I say with a grain of salt. Because band abilities are instant abilities, I'm pretty sure interrupt the battle abilities won't effect a band - it would have to be a direct negation.

Sorry, this was on a different battle. I meant, if the character is CBN and he's discarding a character, can I interrupt and discard him to save myself?

As long as the ability that is discarding you can be negated, you can play an interrupt the battle to save yourself, yes.

It would be an indirect negate.

I was under the impression that if banding was negated, it was like the band never happened, rather than negating.

Like it never happened. So if you play grapes you can make an ra with the hero that was kicked out of battle.

That's essentially what an indirect negate does in this instance. The difference is if I band in a character who's ability cannot be negated, the special ability still sticks even if the band gets negated.

If the band was caused by an enhancement, and that was the last enhancement played, I think an interrupt the battle could effect the band.

Interrupt the battle interrupts the following:

Your opponent’s special abilities that are (1) causing you to be losing by removal (e.g., your opponent’s Net (BL)), or (2) causing a mutual destruction by mutual removal (e.g., your opponent’s King Zimri (Ki) but not your own King Zimri (Ki)).

The last enhancement played in battle, as long as it was played by an opponent (e.g., your opponent’s False Peace (Pr) but not your own Reach of Desperation (Wo)).

ALL ongoing special abilities (see Ongoing Abilities).

That is true. I was thinking character special abilities when I wrote that.
