How exactly does this work?

The convert ability happen in my territory right?

Also what happens if there are no evil Old Testament humans in my territory does she still work?

Yes it happens in your territory. If there is no target for the convert you can still add your unique human Hero to battle.

Correct, however if there is a human in your territory and you use the capture you must convert.

Also, the character you convert and the one you add to battle don't have to be the same.
