Title: Avenged!
Post by: Watchman on May 27, 2018, 10:37:27 PM
On the updated card it has a TC symbol for both the good enh and evil enh. But how does the TC for the good enh work if the ability is conditional upon battle? The original version wasn’t TC for either alignment.

“Discard your judges human hero to discard all evil cards in battle.”

You can discard the Hero without discarding all evil cards in battle, so it can be used to eliminate a Hero paralyzed by The Serpent to remove the restriction.

Also asked in the dual card changes thread (http://www.cactusforums.com/redemption-card-play/card-design-changes-to-dual-card-types/150/).

So to just discard your judges hero in territory during your prep or discard phase and only because of the Serpent? Seems odd that they would make this card with only that in mind for the TC benefit. What if your opponent isn’t playing with the Serpent? What other benefit is there to discard your hero in territory? Anyways, I think it really wasn’t needed for the good enh side.

Thanks.

Its not just for serpent, all the diseases that spread would get discarded too and there are a few other reasons that discharging your own hero might make sense

One of them is discarding your one hero that stops the Unity identifier.

Maybe. But it just seems like it’s too restrictive for the TC benefit. I think it would have been better just to make it a battle-only card. I get why though the TC is there.

There are many strategic opportunities to discard your own Hero with a TC GE. While it may be rare that you choose to use it that way, it’s how we tested it. Keeping TC on the GE when we split the icons only improves the GE.
