Until they fix it, Asahel + ANB is currently a legal way to make two RA's in a row with the Thorns LS the first one would be automatically sucessful. The second one could be CBN (pretty much) by playing Grapes on the EC used to block Asahel.
If a player makes a successful rescue attempt, that player may not make another rescue attempt until each of their opponent's has had a turn.

Because of the pattern of players attempting to come up with ways to make multiple rescue attempts, either in one turn, or by taking successive turns (with ANB), we announced this rule last fall. It can be found in the Official New Rulings thread.QuoteIf a player makes a successful rescue attempt, that player may not make another rescue attempt until each of their opponent's has had a turn.
