ASA and Goshen

I know that cards held by a fortress follow when that fortress is discarded-
But what about the cards held in Goshen (Promo), since they are "protected from harm or effect"?

Goshen
Written: Protect contents from all effects. If your Genesis or Exodus Hero has toughness */0 or less, you may place it here instead of discarding it. [Holds any number of Heroes of up to three brigades]
Play As: Protect contents from harm or effect. Place or return Heroes during your Preparation Phase. If your Genesis Hero or Exodus Hero has toughness */0 or less, you may place it here instead of discarding it. Goshen may hold any number of Heroes of up to three brigades.

Assyrian Siege Army (FF2)
Type: Evil Char. • Brigade: Pale Green • Ability: 12 / 12 • Class: Warrior • Special Ability: If blocking and another Assyrian is in play, you may negate and discard an Artifact, single color Site, or Fortress in play or set aside area. Cannot be negated. • Identifiers: Generic OT Male Human, Assyria, Fought Earthly Battle • Verse: Isaiah 23:13 • Availability: Faith of our Fathers Extended booster packs (None)

The contents always follow the card. A ruling I dont necessarily agree with, especially with Goshen stating the contents are protected.

BTW where did you get your abilities from?
This is the way Lackey gave it to me. All hail the power of Lackey!

I got the contents from cutting & pasting from old message board post (after unsuccessfully searching for an answer myself.)

Still not entirely convinced "The contents following the card" rule overrules the protection provided by Goshen.
Then again, maybe once Goshen is discarded, the protection no longer applies.
Certainly would appreciate further clarification.

RTSm is correct, the rule is that contents follow the card.

In this case, there isn't a problem with that. ASA negates the thing it discards before discarding it, so the contents of Goshen would no longer be protected when it is discarded.

Even in the case of a CBN Fort or a case where the fortress is not negated, the cards still follow.  It is actually a consistent rule, as the cards are not being harmed.  The definition of harm requires that they be targeted by an effect from the opposing alignment, and they are not.  They move with the card on which they are placed, and that it happens to be discard makes no difference.  Game rule is moving them, not an ability, so there is no harm.

Just to help others: For me, I've been stealing an idea someone else used awhile back on here (can't remember who :() to copy the information from the text file in the RTS folder.  Works great, and is easily searched.
