Title: Artifact Sneakiness
Post by: BubbleBoy on May 14, 2011, 01:00:42 PM
So, both TC-enhancement-playing and the artifact phase occur during the preparation phase, right? If so, let's say I have a Master's Table active at the beginning of my turn. Can I play a Meeting the Messiah and then change my artifact?

No, if you use the ability of TMT during your prep phase you've chosen to have that as your active Artifact for the turn.

I tried this with GotM and Feast of Trumpets a few years ago, but I was shot down too. ;)

I was under the impression that if I had Gifts of the Magi active from a previous turn and brought my heros back from set aside with Feast of Trumpets and drew double b/c of my opponent that I could still activate another art for the turn?

because that happened during your upkeep.

a general misconception.  :o during upkeep counters are added and removed. Its not until prep phase that the ability triggers.

Abilities can trigger during upkeep ("each upkeep, do blah"), so why are set aside enhancements that return forced to wait to resolve til Prep phase?
