Title: Artifact Activation Question
Post by: EmJayBee83 on December 08, 2012, 10:57:25 AM
One question prompted by the recent Gifts thread...

My opponent and I are playing T2. It is my prep phase, and I have an artifact up from a previous turn. My opponent plays DoN. If I have another copy of the same artifact in my artifact pile, can I activate it?

I would say yes, but others might have a different opinion.

If your opponent did not ask you if that was the artifact you were leaving up, then yes, you may activate another artifact.

Yeah, if they DON it before your art activation subphase you could definitely activate the other copy. It was common to use Captured Ark #1, use one, turn, then Captured Ark #2, use one, the next turn. That's a similar scenario.

+1 If your opponent DID ask you if that was the artifact you were leaving up and you told them yes, then you may NOT activate another artifact.

OK. So there is no uniqueness rule skin to the one which prevents you from having the same unique character enter battle twice. Gotcha.
