Card question: What's the exact meaning of "Refined by Fire"?

Hi there,

I already checked for this within WiKi and forum search but could not yet find any satisfying explanation.

Can someone here please explain me the special ability of this card? What is meant by "all evil cards placed on that Hero"? Are these only those cards really placed on hero card or are here enhancements meant that have been played during battle (and mybe before) which are working against that hero?

There are a lot of cards that get placed on heroes.  Destructive Sin, Panic Demon, and more.  So Refined by Fire discards any of them actually 'placed' on that hero card.  It doesn't discard cards played against the hero in battle, only those cards which actually 'place' themselves on that hero.

Most cards that are actually played on a hero are something along the lines of"Negate the special ability of a hero that this card is placed on" but I don't really see those kinds of cards getting much play time anymore. I could be wrong. They could win nats for all I know.

Rather doubtful. You would see more cards like Palsy.
