Heads Up: I haven't had the pleasure of being around other players / tournaments since the release of the new cards.

From the Reg

A toss ability allows a player to play an enhancement in a different way than usual; instead of activating the numbers or special abilities of the enhancement, the enhancement is discarded to decrease an opposing character by X/X (where X is the strength of the discarded enhancement).

The part I'm confused about it how the Tossed enhancement interacts with it's victim...

Does this entry loosely use "strength" referring the abilities (both numbers) of the card, or literally the strength (*/) of the card alone?

Does it work X/Y to Y/X or X/Y? (If I toss a 5/0, is that going to lower their Strength or Toughness?)

I love toss by the way, it's a brilliant concept to get around cannot be negated battle winners. Zach Zeiss and I have been joking about "regardless of cannot-be-negated" cards since Stone of Thebez came out, this is an incredibly creative alternative!
