Scenario: Player uses Caanan site to capture his Caananite to opponent's LOB to make a rescue attempt with a purple king. Opponent blocks with a bab. Bab ITB with Neb's Pride and trys to set aside characters. Rescuer then plays ITB to ignore crimson. What happens? Are the characters set aside before rescuer plays the ignore enhance or does his ITB to ignore override NEb's Pride? ARgument happened because it was a game-winning rescue attempt. Please let me know so I can tell my brother in laws the answer. I said the ITB overrode the Neb's Pride. I hope I was right. Could use some help withthis. It gets confusing sometimes. tha nks!

The ITB suspended the set-aside on Pride. By the time Pride reactivates (which it must do due to the rules of interrupt), the Ignore condition is in effect. Since it now reactivating, Pride cannot target the hero for set-aside. Battle ends with everything but the Ignoring characters being set-aside from battle, because there is no SI back to the Bab:
You are considered to be losing by removal when an opponent’s special ability, or a game rule that has been triggered by an opponent’s special ability, would leave you with no character in battle when the special ability has completed.
ITB doesn't matter to cards that come after, by that point it is just like any other instant or ongoing ability played. Other ITB work as normal. Hope that helps.

Yes it does thanks! IT was an awesome finish! Ray used his Canaan site ability to turn what would have been a battle challenge into a RA and then fought Neb's Pride and ignored George's Bab. Never saw that coming! It was an awesome game-winning move!

Unfortunately Canaan does not generate a lost soul to rescue. You give your opponent a character that goes to his territory and you capture a hero that becomes a lost soul on your side of the table.

Oh my gosh! I just looked at the card (I don't play Canaanites so i'm not familiar) and you're right! He played it wrong; so he never really won! Doh, how much does that suck! LOL! Can't wait to tell him that one!
