Title: Angels sword
Post by: TheHobbit13 on April 09, 2011, 07:15:45 PM
Okay so a long time ago you could Angels sword didn't have an errata, which ment you could play against horses etc... Here is my point. Every time I saw it play it actually worked, meaning that if your angel holding the sword was blocked by a human he got to play the "first enhancement".

If weapons are played in battle how would he be able to play the first enhancement all those years ago? Either we played it wrong, and angels sword would have been useless or weapons are not considered played. It seems to me that we have a prescedent for weapons not being played. Your thoughts?

When a warrior holding a weapon enters battle the weapon activates.  In the case of Angel's Sword it doesn't to anything until it's trigger is met (the Hero is blocked by a human EC).  When that human EC blocks, all abilities associated with that character entering battle complete, including weapons (such as horses) that the EC might be holding.  Once all those abilities complete, then Angel's Sword can trigger and you get to play an enhancement.

Right, and in the olden days when it said play first you couldn't have played anything if Angels Sword was considered played. That is why the weapon could not have been considered played, because Angels sword worked.

All I am saying is that there was a prescedent that weapons were not considered played in battle.

I am not arguing anything current about angels sword, I get how it works. I am sorry if there was confusion.

Would this mean that you wouldn't need to play an interrupt?

No it has an errata now to "play an enhancement".
