What if I throw down AotL before he plays his ENH?
Yes, his enhancement still works. You could still play AotL, but your Hero has already been captured so it wouldn't make much sense at that point.Keep in mind, you don't need regular initiative to use AotL. You can play it before he plays his enhancement if you suspect he has something that will beat you.

I did not get this - these sentences seem to be contradictory in terms of the question raised the post before! Really this reads confusing. So how is it going with the change of ini and the possibiltiy to play Doms in between? What happens in the OP describing situation when the blocking player has normal Ini, did not yet play an enhancement and the rescuing player plays AotL? Can the blocking player still play an enhancement which would resolve before the character is discarded or not?
Watchman:That was a great summary, and I agree with both scenarios, but here is another wrinkle...Suppose we were in scenario 2 --The EC has initiative (by the numbers), and he plays an EE that would remove the hero, BUT THEN the hero's owner plays an INTERRUPT enhancement (temporarily stopping the ability) and THEN Plays AotL.Would this stop the EE from happening, and would the rescuer then get a soul? Thanks
Kevin and Bobbert are correct, and just as a note there are no cards that just interrupt--they are always "interrupt + do something else".
