Ahimaaz and Enter the Battle Effects

If I have an Eleazar, Son of Aaron in my territory, attack with Ahimaaz, then withdraw him with his special ability, does Eleazar's (And any other "if x enters battle" effects) trigger? It was my understanding that even if Ahimaaz withdraws himself, he still did enter battle and thus activate the abilities in question. My friend was unsure about it since Ahmiaaz's ability would finish before the other cards and he wouldn't be in battle by the time they went off.

Eleaza, Son of Aaron: "If your Tabernacle Priest enters battle, search deck or discard pile for a House of Eleazar Priest and a Priestly Artifact."

Ahimaaz (Tabernacle Priest): "You may look at one opponent's hand or cards face down in a Site. You may then withdraw Hero from battle unharmed."

We discussed this when the card was being made, and I'm almost certain we agreed that Eleazar would still activate.  He is triggered, and the "enters battle" only requires physically being placed in battle, not staying there.   Since Warrior's Spear + Spy works, we know that the Battle Phase has not ended upon the withdraw, and so it follows that Eleazar still has a chance to complete.

Really complicated way of saying "to be consistent with Throne of David and Uzzah, yes."
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

Except that assumes the OP knows the how and why of Throne of David and Uzzah.  :P

Have you checked the REG?
Have you looked it up in ORCID?

My point is, "almost certain" and a really complicated reason for why he came up with that ruling is concerning. It sounds like bottom-up mentality, which seems to have re-emerged like Polio.
