Sog'ing a 2-liner

Do both players get half of a 2-liner?

EXAMPLE: My opponent rescues my 2liner, and i sog the other half. Do we both share the 2-liner?

Yes.

Once both halves are rescued and the 2 liner is in a LoR then the credit for each half goes to the person that rescued that half.

That's how I've understood it, although this situation has only happened once or twice to me. Burying the second half of the 2-Liner is much more common.

Where does the LS go, for purposes of Falling Away/Guardian?

The card is technically in both LoR's. Whoever plays Falling Away keeps their rescue on the 2-liner and the card goes into their Land of Bondage.

So, theoretically you could lose your point even if you have guardian up?

You have guardian up, they rescue half, you son of god the other half. They fall away THEIR half and bury it.

A ruling on this has already been made:

•      The Proverbs 22:14 (‘2-line Lost Souls’) card is half rescued by player A and half rescued by player B in a multiplayer game.  Player A has Guardian of Your Souls and Player B does not.  If player A plays Falling Away on the half that Player B has rescued, the other half MUST leave the Land of Redemption, even though the whole card remains half rescued.  However, Guardian does not allow a Lost Soul to leave the Land of Redemption.  Therefore, Player A’s Guardian of Your Souls has the net result of protecting the other half of the Lost Soul card rescued by Player B.  Player A must play Falling Away on another Lost Soul card.

Does this mean that this only applies to Multiplyer, or is this some kind of mis-print.

You know, saying things like "neither" doesn't really help anyone unless you give a real answer.

You only gave two options and neither are true. How is that not answering your question?

Okay, then tell me: How could I have asked the question so that your answer would have been more than one word long?

I'm not sure that either of your questions warrant anything more than a "yes" or "no." By asking them both together as an "or" question, the only appropriate answer is "neither."

I was simply asking whether the fact that the wording implicated MP games only was significant, and I still haven't gotten an answer.

I apologize that the word "neither" was unclear. Your question had two parts:

"Does this mean that this only applies to Multiplyer..."

The answer to this part was "no."

"..., or is this some kind of mis-print."

The answer to this part was "no."

Since both parts were false, and they were the only two options, I answered "neither." I hope that clears things up.

*sigh* I was never unclear on what "neither" meant; it's just that it isn't helpful. My question was not meant to be a compound question; I was just trying to understand the wording.

Oh, so maybe you could have asked, "Could someone explain the wording of Mike's ruling, particularly with regard to why it says multiplayer?"

In general, if you ask a "yes" or "no" type of question, then you must be content with a one-word answer. If you use words like explain, justify, elaborate or prove, you will get more detailed answers. Incidentally, that is why I, as a high school math teacher, rarely give multiple-choice questions on tests, because students will often not even try to generate a solution. They will just do a quick eeny-meeny-miney-mo and circle one of them.

--------------------------------------------------------

Back to your question, it appears the word "multiplayer" is what is throwing you off, but don't let it. The entire example uses player A and player B as an example, which is only two players and is therfore completely relevant to two-player games. The inclusion of the word "multiplayer" should avert the question of whether not the rule only applies to multiplayer games since there were only two players in the example.
