Title: Abilities gained through set-aside
Post by: Ammian on December 27, 2010, 02:30:10 PM
Just a (hopefully) quick question:

♦Abilities gained through setting aside ...can they be prevented?  For instance, can Strong Angel band to Angel of Deliverance after Strong Angel has gained the Ability from Gathering of Angels?

♦Furthermore, can these heroes band when Household Idols is active?

Thanks and God bless,
Ian Vroon

1. Yes, but not by the character that the enhancement was placed on. It would be pointless to make a character who would negate his own ability.
2. No, you are gaining an ability and HH Idols negates banding abilities.

Thanks!  That's what I figured.

Huh?  Could you restate that?  I don't understand.

Grazie,

1. No. Abilities gained by set-aside cannot be negated by game rule.

2. The banding cannot be prevented, however, a character who gains a banding ability is now a "banding card" and is therefore being ignored with Household Idols active. Ignored characters cannot enter battle.
