1) if I have 2 characters in battle, one holding a weapon the other not and the one holding the weapon is discarded, does the weapon transfer or does it follow it's bearer?
2) Hero is in battle with an enhancement already played on him (SA on enhancement doesn't matter) and i start a side-battle causing the hero to fight another hero. Does the enhancement already played in battle transfer to the side battle?
-
1st Question, if the card was on the Character already, then it would follow, if not, then it can go to any Hero of the same brigade in battle.
2nd, I don't think it can activate again, but I'm not sure off-hand...
-
For #1 mega is incorrect. Any character in battle of the same brigade (or that can hold a weapon of that brigade) that is WC can hold the weapon so if the one who was holding it leaves battle for whatever reason, you can indeed transfer it to a different character. Actually, even if the holder survives, you could still transfer it to the other character if you wanted to.
Not sure on #2. I hate side battles. >_<
-
Me too...
You can move weapons around? I didn't know that.
-
Owait, I read number 2 wrong. Any enhancements already in battle when a side battle card is played transfer to the same place the character(s) go. So if you block with a crimson EC, I play some non-winner enhancement and then you play Christian Suing Another and choose my Hero in battle, the enhancement I played would transfer with the character (just as any enhancements in the side battle transfer back with surviving characters).
Not 100% sure, but I believe this is correct.

1. From the REG:
Weapons may not be exchanged between characters and may only be moved to another character in battle if the holder of the weapon is defeated and another warrior-class character is in battle and able to hold the weapon.
2. (Not an expert, but what I know, as far as I know):
The characters themselves are brought into the side-battle, and any cards played with them (with the obvious exceptions of weapons and placed cards) stay in the original battle. However, any enhancements played in the side battle return to the main battle with the character who played them, should they survive the side battle. If any of those enhancements have ongoing effects, they are applied to the main battle.

that ruling on the transfer of weapons is very interesting i didnt realize that character has to be losing to transfer the weapon to another in battle. . . . does that mean the character holding the weapon would need to be captured or discarded in order for the weapon to pass? what happens if the holder is ignored? could you still pass it?
what if the holder is dc by an enhancement then passes the weapon and then the dc enhancement is negated?

The character would have to be removed from the battle and an eligible WC hero would have to remain for the weapon to transfer.
If an effect that allows this to happen is undone, you break the game and must destroy all cards involved. (Which means I have no earthly idea)

Okay then, now little kids remember to bring your flame throwers to Redemption tournaments in case this happens so you can be sure they are destroyed.

Yep, and States next month. If this situation comes up and no one posts to help me out, you'd better have your flamethrowers.

If the discard is negated then all following effects of the discard, in this case the passing of the weapon, are indirectly negated. the weapon would go back to the original hero as he was never losing (the discard was undone, thus never happened) so game rule says the weapon can't swap owners.
