Achan's Sin and banding

ok, this may be a silly question but not entirely sure how this works:

If my opponent plays Ship to Cypress to band in a hero, and then I play Achan's sin, which interrupts the battle and removes all cards in battle from the game, is the hero she banded in with StC safe from harm because StC was interrupted when the remove effect took place? If so, what happens afterward (assuming I had only one EC)? I would think the Hero returns to the battle unopposed and wins, is that right? Or can it not because StC no longer has a Hero it can be played off?

Achan's Sin (Pale Green) interrupts the ability of Ship to Cypress because ITB interrupts the last enhancement, if played by an opponent.  When it interrupts, it suspends the ability until Achan's Sin resolves, meaning the banded character is not in battle.  If Achan's Sin resolves and there are no heroes left in battle, the battle is over.  The ability does not reactivate, because:
1. It must still be in play (it has been removed from game at resolution).
2. A hero it can be played on must still be in battle (if none remain, even if it were protected from removal, it could still not activate.

got it. So that means if another Hero were banded in through the first Hero's special ability, the battle would still be over due to condition #1?

Also, what happens to the Hero brought in by StC then? Back to territory? Or to deck?

Achan's Sin would not interrupt the Hero's ability that banded the second Hero into battle, so they would both be removed from the game (so long as your opponent is unable to interrupt or negate Achan's Sin).

As for where the second hero goes in regards to StC, I think it goes back to where it came from.  If it came from your draw pile, it would go there; if it came from territory, it would go there; or if it came from your hand, it would go there.  I could be wrong on that though.

oh right. Missed the part about only interrupting the last enhancement if played by an opponent.
