I just came across another question. When modifying my Type 1 Deck earlier today, I saw a card in my collection that had a special ability that read: "Discard a face-down Hero in a territory". Face Down? Does this mean I can put my characters face down when I put them in my territory? Thanks so much guys, sorry about these questions, but here is the only place that has the answers.

No, you cannot just put them face down in your territory.  There are a few cards (most notably ambush) that play heroes face down.  You are unlikely to come across this in tournament play.

Thanks. Is there a Maximum to how many Multi-Color Enhancements I can have per Deck?

Unless you plan on building a deck over 100, then 1 of each enhancement.

Cool so I could have (G Deck) Love of Money, and (G Deck) Pillar of the Cloud, even though they are both "Rainbow" Brigade?

Yes, you just can't have more than one copy of either of them.

Just to clarify, any card with more than 1 brigade is limited to 1 copy of the card per deck in Type 1, regardless of deck size.

@jaydog1616: I am excited that you are planning on coming to our tournament in September. As we get closer, feel free to PM me with any specific questions to our tournament. I will be putting up a page with all of the details in about a month out so keep an eye out for that as well.

Other than that, keep the questions coming. I wish I had known about these forums when I was first playing so I could have had my questions addressed before my first event. It would have helped me immensely as it seems to have been doing for you.

Another question..!  On the card "Unified Kingdom" it says "Interrupt each Wall of Protection and band any number of O.T. Human Heroes into battle." What if I play this card, and there is no "Wall of Protection" in play. Can I still band any number of O.T. Human Heroes in? Thanks guys. :)

Yes. The "and" separates the special abilities.

Thanks. :) I have found yet ANOTHER question, some of my hero cards say "When this hero is about to be discarded, place this card in opponent's Land of Bondage instead. Hero is treated as a Lost Soul."

Does that mean I can rescue my hero back and after the rescue, put it in my Land of Redemption and get a Point from it? Or does it go in my hand after I rescue it? This has been a question I have had since I started playing Redemption.

Your first guess is correct in that it would be a rescued LS that would go to your LoR.

I thought so. Does the same rule apply for cards that say "Capture a Hero."  Even if it does not say to "Treat as a Lost Soul"?

Yes. Any captured character is treated as a lost soul.

Also, to expand on the previous question, unless an ability says do X to do Y, one part of the ability isn't dependant on the other. Or if it's an older card it might say something a bit different. Use your English skills to determine whether it should be dependant.

About capturing heroes, one way to get around the "treat as a lost soul" part is to use Raider's Camp fortress which specifically says in the special ability that captured heroes that are released from there do not count as lost souls.

Glad to see a lot of your questions getting answered :)

First, I want to point you to the Rules, References, New Rules, and FAQ post that will answer a lot of questions (some you may not have thought you had ;)) and direct you to the many resources available to you.  If you have not read through that post yet, I would do so before anything else to familiarize yourself with what is available to you as a tool.

For the other questions you have, keep them coming, we'll try to answer them as much as we can.  It can be hard to track these types of threads as they get longer, so as I advised others in your position, I would suggest considering putting a bunch of your similar questions together in new threads.  Don't be afraid to 'spam' new threads with different questions, because that makes it so that any new questions you make in a thread don't get 'lost' in the discussion, and also it is easier to search for them later.

Hope we can resolve all of the questions you may have so that you are prepared for the tourney :)

Oh, wait. If you capture a demon, than it goes to land of bondage, but it cannot be rescued. Because demons aren't redeemable.

If you RSVP Travis has been known to give out cool door prizes. I got an Early Church pack at OH states and pulled a False Prophet! Also if I'm able I'll hope to go to that tourney so it'd be cool to see you there! Also as you are a new player I would definitely recommend closed deck and booster draft if you can spare the funds. These types level the playing field quite a bit and will help emphasize the basics unlike T1 where lots of complex strategies might pop up. Welcome to the boards!  :)

@Eragon5 Thanks for the advice! I'm going to enter Type 1, and probably Booster Draft.
(Unless Type 1 is too complicated, but I think I can do it.)

A few more questions, for anyone who knows the answers. ;)

#1. Sleeves. I have my deck completely sleeved in clear sleeves, and part of my collection is also sleeved. I have heard something about bringing sleeves to tournaments, anything I should know?

#2. What happens if a character gets unexpectedly pulled from battle? For Example, what if I play "Coliseum Lions", so my evil character is left there? Or if a card says "Ignore [Color] Brigade Heroes" or "Ignore [Color] Brigade E.C."?
http://redemption.wikia.com/wiki/Coliseum_Lions_(E)

Thanks! :)

1. Sleeves are required at all tournaments now, and I also suggest not using just clear-backed sleeves.  First, I find they aren't as protective.  Second, I find that they shuffle with much more difficulty.  Third, it is still very easy to see how recent the card was printed).  Basically, newer sets are with a new process, and are significantly bigger, so you have to sleeve from now on.  They meet the rule requirement, I just recommend something better (Ultra Pro Matte are very good and decently-priced).

Since you are playing Booster, bring additional sleeves unless you want to have to unsleeve your main deck, which is always a pain.

2. Look down in my signature, and click the link there (or click here).  I'll be doing more of these videos after Nationals, but I go into the basics of the game (prevent, interrupt, negate, the 'cannot be' abilities, and special initiative) and some of the more complex ideas (ignore and side-battles).  That will answer those questions in more detail and probably answer some other questions you have, too :)
