Redirecting Siegeworks

With some new Redirects I figure I should make sure I fully understand it.

My opponent has either Isaiah or an Assyrian, I do not. Then he plays Siegeworks (FooF) against me, I play a redirect (I don't think it really matters which one, Blame Shifting from Fall of Man will work). Do I get to underdeck my opponent characters in battle or not?

Siegeworks (FooF) (Play As text)
If you control Isaiah or an Assyrian, underdeck all opposing characters. Place this card on a Site or Fortress: Negate that card.

Blame Shifting
Interrupt and redirect an Enhancement played by an Opponent.

The reason I'm asking this is to confirm that the Opposing Characters are now the ones opposing the Redirecting player and asking whether or not the condition of Controlling Isaiah or an Assyrian is being met.
If you are reading this signature, thank a physicist.

Quote from: REG>Redirect>How to Play
When choosing new targets for a redirected ability, restrictions on what can be targeted are applied from the perspective of the player using the redirect effect.

So yes, once Siegeworks is redirected, the opposing characters are the ones opposing the character controlled by the player the used the redirect.

Quote from: REG>Redirect>How to Play
Redirecting an ability does not change which player played the card it is on or the character that used it, but does change which player carries out the effect.

The condition of controlling Isaiah or an Assyrian is met, because a redirect really only changes the targeting of the ability, not anything else.

Why doesn’t the “control an Assyrian or Isaiah” condition not apply since the underdecking and fort negate only works if that condition is meant?
