1. Are cards given to me via Thievery of Judas still my opponent's cards? For example, after playing Birth Foretold this turn, would my Samson be protected from a gold enhancement given to me via Thievery? If so, what would happen?

2. If you've used multiple Samaritan Water Jars, and your opponent's deck runs out of cards, do they all trigger at the same time and return all the cards at once? *Answered


Thievery of Judas (Di)
Special Ability: If used by a N.T. human, each opponent must give you a card from hand or Artifact pile. You may discard a good Enhancement in play or set-aside.

Birth Foretold (Di)
Special Ability: Search deck for Isaac, Samson, John the Baptist, or Son of God. Protect cards with those titles from opponents' cards this turn.

Samaritan Water Jar (TP)
Discard this card to reveal the top 3 cards of an opponent's deck (or 9 if a Samaritan Hero is in play) and set them aside. Put Lost Souls in play instead. When that deck has no cards, return those cards from set-aside to deck.

I would assume that Samson would be protected since it is your opponent's card, but I'm no elder. I suppose it would depend on the definition of "opponent's card(s)" in this case.

In order for a card to be an opponent's card, he must own and control it. He would still be the owner of the card he gave you, but you control the cards in your hand, so Samson would not be protected from it. Not that your opponent would ever give you a Samson's Sacrifice anyway...

So "opponent's cards" are those both controlled and owned by your opponent, and "your cards" are those both controlled and owned by you?

...what exactly happens when you're protected from an enhancement played on yourself?

Nothing. You're protected, nothing can get through your Bubble Shield. Unless they have Commando Pro.
