I'm calling for a complete, concise, and not confusing rule book with the new starters. Who's with me?

Dude a rule book like that would be the size of War and Peace.
-
Unfortunately I agree with both the above. It would be great to have a new rule book that was easy to follow and explained everything but it would be the size of....well I don't read long books. :P So I'll take Isildur's word that War and Peace is a long book.

War And Peace is HUGE!!!!
But I also would like to second the rule book idea but... It shouldn't come with a starter set. They could be delivered to hosts or available online.
(or simply fix/update/make a new REG)

The problem is, the rules are neither complete, concise, nor non-confusing.

Player rewrite?

Player rewrite?
That would be an unmitigated disaster. We as a group of players can't even agree on simple things. Let alone as something as complicated as a rewrite of the rulebook.

I expect that the rulebook will be of better quality than it has been with previous starters, but the REG is there for a reason, and I see no reason that the basic rules and rulings, along with a page or two dedicated to steering people towards the REG (and these forums) wouldn't be sufficient for a rulebook packaged with the new starters.

What I understand the rule book is supposed to be is a super condensed rule book made simple and clear enough a cave man could do it. Then the rest of the rules no one understands will be left to a helpful website address to the now somewhat outdated REG. But thats last I heard almost 6 months ago ::)
