unique character situations

If I band to my opponent's AutO and exchange for a judge in my territory, do I keep control of his AutO and the judge goes to his territory after battle?

Assuming yes, then what happens if I exchanged with Samuel and he already had Samueul in territory?  Does he choose which is discarded after battle?

AutO and the judge would return to your territory if i'm not mistaken.

That is the case, the characters return to their owners after battle unless otherwise specified (you don't get to keep heroes or EC you band in any other way, this is no different).

The real question is what was the eventual ruling on if you tried to exchange with your deck or discard...*goes fishing*

As far as I can tell from what I know of Seven Wicked Spirits/Laban/etc.: you would control the first hero (that banded to AUtO) and AUtO at the end of battle. AUtO would be under your control in your territory, and the judge you exchanged for would be under your opponent's control in their territory (assuming it survived battle).

still looking for an answer to part 2.  Is this determined to how they decide the question of Samuel putting another copy of David in play?  Its obviously related but it seems to be a different question to me.

I'm still not 100% sure if your opponent would control the judge that AutO exchanged with, but if that ends up being how it works and you chose Samuel then your opponent would get to pick which one to discard from his territory.

From a similar thread on this matter:

What if he wants to exchange in hand or territory?

If he exchanges to hand, it defaults to the owner's hand. If he exchanges to territory, it goes to the controller's territory, and the Jacob bander now controls Oak, and the opponent controls the judge after battle.

Philistine Armorbearer is the precedent here, and that's always worked as described in the initial answers. The only uncharted territory is exchanging to hand, and that just needs a ruling one way or the other. Also, Fishing Boat should be able to work without restrictions in TEAMS.

I agree. I would say that the rule should be the same as with return, as I quoted above, so that the angel goes to owner's hand. All cards that allow you to have an opponent's card in your hand specifically allow it.
